To develop sense of rhythm and balance in infants, parents can do some activities like:
- Place the baby sitting on his lap or lying on his back on his knees and swinging him from side to side always holding the baby firmly so that he feels safe;
- Lay the baby on his belly down on a pillow and holding it, pull the pillow from side to side, back and forth and turn it around, always looking at the baby;
- Hold the baby with his belly down, count to 3 and at number 3 raise his arms raising the baby until it is above his head, turning it and walking with it like this, while making the noise of an airplane engine, for example.
These pranks can be made for babies over the age of 3 months and stimulate them in balance and rhythm as well as control the head by preparing them to crawl and walk.
Infant swings are also very appealing to children and the swinging develops their sense of rhythm, favoring and broadening the connections between the brain neurons.
