Mode of use of tetracycline

The mode of use of tetracycline is the ingestion of 1 500 mg tablet every 6 hours or every 12 hours as directed by your doctor. Milk and dairy products, such as cheese or yogurt, should be avoided 1 to 2 hours before and after ingestion of the medicine.

Side effects of tetracycline

Side effects of tetracycline include skin changes, tooth discoloration, vomiting, diarrhea, oral candidiasis, vulvovaginitis, anal itching, tongue darkening, and hypersensitivity to light.

Contraindications of tetracycline

Tetracycline is contraindicated in pregnancy, lactation, and in patients with hypersensitivity to tetracyclines.
