Salicylic Acid commercially known as Ionil, is a topical drug with anti-seborrheic and atiacne characteristics. It works by producing a peeling of skin areas that are hyperkeratose.
Indications
Seborrheic dermatitis; dandruff; psoriasis; keratosis; acne vulgaris.
Side effects
redness and crusting of the skin; If product is absorbed, dirrhea may occur; psychic disorders; nausea; hearing loss; accelerated breathing; somnolence; dizziness; vomiting; ringing in the ears.
Contraindications
Pregnancy risk C; children under 2 years; diabetics; patients with circulatory insufficiency; in warts; birthmarks; hairy papillae; hypersensitivity to salicylic acid.
