How to use
How to use Bromhexine Hydrochloride depends on the form it is used.
In the use of oral drops the indicated dose includes:
- Children from 2 to 6 years: 20 drops, 3 times a day;
- Children 6 to 12 years: 2 ml, 3 times a day;
- Adults and adolescents over 12 years: 4 ml, 3 times a day.
When using inhalation drops the indicated dose is:
- Children 2 to 6 years: 10 drops, 2 times a day
- Children 6 to 12 years: 1 ml, 2 times a day
- Adolescents over 12 years: 2 ml, 2 times daily
- Adults: 4 ml, 2 times daily
In the case of Syrup it is indicated:
- Children 5 to 12 years old: should take 2.5 ml, half a teaspoon, 3 times a day.
- From the age of 12 and adults, one should take 2.5 ml 3 times a day.
The effect of the remedy begins within 5 hours after oral administration and in case the symptoms do not go up to 7 days of use should go to the doctor.
