According to a scientific publication, approximately 70% of the women submitted to physiotherapeutic treatment for urinary incontinence who were discharged from the hospital and who were advised to perform the exercises at home, after one year were practically cured, reporting only the loss of small drops of urine when exerting effort.
This proves that not all women with urinary incontinence should be indicated directly for surgery, and physiotherapy is a science capable of promoting healing in these cases.
