E. coli is a bacterium that affects the intestinal system of the infected individual leading to the onset of symptoms, such as severe diarrhea, abdominal discomfort, vomiting, dehydration and kidney problems. Elderly and children are the most affected.
These E. coli symptoms begin to appear about 8 hours after ingestion of the contaminated food and can last for a few days. If the individual is not treated, the disease may evolve and bring on other complications such as change in blood and may even lead to death.
This bacterium survives in the intestine of infected cattle, without bringing changes to the animal. However, vegetables, vegetables, milk, water and beef itself can be contaminated with the bacteria.
The solution so that the man is not contaminated is to cook very well all these foods before consuming them. In the case of suspected contamination of vegetables and some legumes that are usually eaten raw, the solution is not to eat this type of food.
