Reflexology is a type of therapy performed by the physiotherapist or acupuncturist who uses the stimulation of points in the body, called nerve plexuses such as feet, hands, nose, skull and ears, to combat physical and mental problems.
Foot reflexology is the type of reflexology most used and consists of the application of pressure in points of the foot, to balance the energy of the body and to avoid the emergence of diseases and health problems.
Normally, the physiotherapist presses with the thumb several regions of the foot, looking for energy imbalances that can be manifested by sensitivity in the point or sensation of sand under the skin. After finding the points of imbalance, the physiotherapist does a small massage that stimulates the natural healing processes of the affected place.

Reflexology for anxiety helps calm the individual during a panic attack. See the step by step massage reflexology for anxiety:
Step 1 Step 2 Step 3- Step 1: Hold the thumb with the fingers of one hand and with the thumb of the other hand, rise from the base to the tip of the big toe. Repeat the movement in parallel lines for 1 minute;
- Step 2: Hold the thumb with the fingers of one hand and with the thumb of the other hand, draw a cross to find the center of the big toe. Perching the thumb, pressing and describing circles for 15 seconds;
- Step 3: Bend the foot back with one hand and with the thumb of the other hand, make the lateral movement, as shown in the picture. Repeat the movement 8 times;
Step 4 Step 5 Step 6
- Step 4: Bend the foot back and with the thumb of the other hand, climb up to the base of the fingers, as shown in the picture. Make the movement for all the fingers and repeat 5 times;
- Step 5: Place 3 fingers below the protrusion of the sole and press this point lightly, with both thumbs, making small circles, for 20 seconds;
- Step 6: Scroll with the thumb to the side of the foot as shown in the picture, repeating the movement 3 times.
In addition to this massage, to control anxiety it is important to do activities that one likes, to practice physical exercise like walking and to avoid negative thoughts.
