How to take
This medication is used in tablets and for adults and children from 15 years in the case of skeletal muscle spasm is recommended 10 mg, 3 or 4 times a day and in the case of fibromyalgia from 5 to 40 mg at bedtime .
The maximum dose is 60 mg of cyclobenzaprine hydrochloride.
Side effects
The most common side effects of Miosan include dry mouth, drowsiness, dizziness and headache. The most rare reactions were: tiredness, headache, mental confusion, irritability, nervousness, abdominal pain, reflux, constipation, nausea, feeling of limpness in the body, blurred vision and throat discomfort.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in pregnancy, liver malfunction, hyperthyroidism, heart problems such as congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, cardiac block or conduction disorders, acute recovery phase after myocardial infarction, and patients receiving or using MAOI drugs because they may die or have seizures.
It is also not recommended for use in children and adolescents less than 15 years of age and older and should not be used by people using any of the following medicines: serotonin reuptake inhibitors, tricyclic antidepressants, buspirone, meperidine, tramadol, medicines monoamine oxidase inhibitors, bupropion and verapamil.
