Erleada is a medicine that has as its composition apalutamide, indicated for the treatment of cancer of the prostate without metastases, if the therapy with androgens is not successful.

How it works
Apalutamide is an active substance that selectively inhibits the receptor of androgens, which are sex hormones that can promote tumor growth by decreasing its production, causing tumor cells to grow and death.
How to take
The recommended dose is 240 mg, which is equivalent to 4 60 mg tablets, orally, once a day. However, depending on the person's response to treatment, the doctor may change the dose or discontinue the medication.
Who should not use
This medicine should not be used by people who are hypersensitive to the active substance or to any component of the formula in pregnant or intending to become pregnant, and in children under 18 years of age.
Possible side effects
The most common side effects that may occur during treatment with Erleada are decreased appetite, generalized bloating, rash, occurrence of fractures, joint pain, tiredness, weight loss, fall, blood pressure increase, heat waves, diarrhea, and nausea
In addition, hypothyroidism, increased cholesterol and triglycerides and itching may also occur.
