Cilazapril is an antihypertensive medicine known commercially as Vascase.
This oral medication is used in the treatment of individuals with high blood pressure, its action helps to increase the dilation of blood vessels, improving circulation and decreasing blood pressure.
Indications of Cilazapril
Arterial hypertension; congestive heart failure (adjunctive treatment with diuretics and digitalis).
Cilazapril Side Effects
Diarrhea; nausea; joint pain; persistent dry cough; dizziness; Headache.
Contraindications of Cilazapril
Pregnancy Risk C; women in the lactation phase; patients with aortic stenosis; Hipersensibility to any of the formula's components; children.
How to use Cilazapril
Oral Use '
Cilazapril can be taken before or after a meal.
Adults
- High blood pressure: Treatment should be initiated with administration of 2.5 mg Cilazapril in a single daily dose. If necessary, increase dose after 2 weeks. The maintenance dose of the medicinal product should be between 2.5 and 10 mg, used in a single daily dose or divided into equal doses.
- Congestive heart failure : Treatment should be initiated with 0.5 mg Cilazapril in a single daily dose. The maintenance dose of the treatment should be between 1 and 5 mg per day.
