Scheuermann's disease is a deformity of the curvature of the spine, which produces an arching of the back. Taking the patient to adopt a folded or crouched posture.
It can occur at any age affecting both men and women.
Its origin is still unknown, but is very often present associated with different developmental problems or degenerative diseases.
In adolescents, it can be the product of separation of several consecutive vertebrae, and people of more advanced age osteoporosis is pointed out as the most likely cause.
The treatment to be adopted varies according to the house of the disorder, and it may be necessary to resort to corrective surgery at early ages or in less serious cases physical therapy and measures is sufficient.
Symptoms:
- Light back pain;
- Fatigue;
- Sensitivity and stiffness in the spine;
- Appearance rounds off the column;
- Difficulty breathing (more serious cases).
