A good way to get rid of dry calluses is to apply a mixture of aspirin and lemon as aspirin contains substances that help eliminate dry skin while the lemon softens and renews the skin, helping to remove the callus completely.
This chemical exfoliation helps in the removal of the callus being quite effective in eliminating the excess of keratin present in the region, leaving the skin again smooth. However, it is important to avoid callus formation by avoiding uncomfortable shoes and in addition, spending a little pumice at bath time directly in the most affected areas also helps in eliminating callosity.
Ingredients
- 6 tablets of aspirin
- 1 tablespoon pure lemon juice
Method of preparation
Put the lemon juice in a glass and knead the tablets until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Apply this mixture on dry callus and rub for a few moments. Then wrap your foot in a plastic bag or foil and apply a sock.
Let the cream work for about 10 minutes, then rub the thumb at the callus site until the skin begins to loosen. Then wash your feet normally, dry and apply a moisturizer in the area.
Other creams for removing dried corns
In addition to this homemade option, there are still creams that can be bought in pharmacies and drugstores, which eliminate dry calluses and dryness of feet, hands and elbows in just 7 days. Some examples are:
- SVR xérial 50: contains 50% pure urea and shea butter, which has nutritive and calming but mainly keratolytic action, which completely eliminates dry skin from corns;
- Neutrogena Dry Feet Cream: Contains glycerin, allantoin and vitamins giving deep hydration, fighting cracks in the feet and prevents dry calluses;
- ISDIN Ureadin X-ray: Contains 40% urea, which exfoliates the skin and is indicated to eliminate dry calluses and deformities in the nails, besides deeply moisturizing the skin;
- Neutrogena Pack Lima + Feet Cream Calluses: Contains urea and glycerin to eliminate the thicker layer of callus, in addition to deeply moisturizing the skin.
These creams should be used daily, and should be applied immediately after the bath, directly on the calluses, to have the expected effect. From the 2nd or 3rd day you can see a good improvement in the appearance of the skin, but use is necessary for about 7 to 10 days until the callus is completely eliminated.
To avoid the formation of other dry calli, always keep the skin well moisturized, applying a good moisturizer daily on the feet before sleeping, and use a silicone sock or wrap your feet in a plastic sleeping bag because this increases the power of hydration. It is also important to always wear comfortable shoes to avoid pressure in areas such as the toes, toes or toes, which are areas more prone to developing calluses.
