Cyramza is indicated for the treatment of advanced stomach, lung and intestinal cancer in the region of the colon or rectum.
This is an anti-cancer drug, which has the active substance Ramucirumab, a monoclonal antibody that recognizes and binds to proteins found in blood vessels, blocking and disrupting blood supply to cancer cells.
How to take
The recommended doses of Cyramza should be indicated by your doctor as they depend on the problem being treated and the body's response to treatment.
Side effects
Some of the side effects of Cyramza may include perforation in the stomach or intestine that causes symptoms of severe abdominal pain, vomiting, fever or chills, intestinal bleeding with symptoms such as extreme tiredness, weakness, dizziness or color changes in the stool, nosebleeds, diarrhea, inflammation of the lining of the mouth or headache.
Contraindications
Cyramza is contraindicated for patients being treated with Ramucirumab, lung cancer with a cavity or hole, or near large vessels, and for patients with allergy to pirfenidone or any of the components of the formula.
In addition, if you have a disease that increases the risk of bleeding, high blood pressure, liver disease, or kidney problems, talk to your doctor before starting treatment.
