Tobradex is a medicine that has the active ingredient Tobramycin and Dexamethasone.

Tobradex Indications
Blepharitis; conjunctivitis; keratitis; inflammation of the eyeball; trauma to the cornea from burning or foreign body penetration; uveitis.
Side Effects of Tobradex
Side effects due to absorption of the medicine by the body:
Softening of the cornea; increased intraocular pressure; thinning of the cornea; increased likelihood of corneal infections; cataract; dilation of the pupils.
Side effects due to prolonged use of the medication:
Corneal inflammation; swelling; infection; eye irritation; feeling of needles; tearing; burning sensation.
Contraindications of Tobradex
Pregnancy risk C; individuals with corneal inflammation due to herpes simplex; ocular diseases caused by fungi; allergy to drug components; children under 2 years.
How To Use Tobradex
Ophthalmic Use
Adults
- Eye drops : Drip one or two drops into the eyes every 4 to 6 hours. During the initial 24 and 48 hours the dose of Tobradex may be increased to one or two drops every 12 hours.
- Ointment : Apply approximately 1.5 cm of Tobradex in the eyes 3 to 4 times a day.
