Check-up means checking health by conducting a series of diagnostic tests and evaluating your results according to the individual's sexual gender, age, lifestyle, and individual and family characteristics. The check-up for men from 40 to 50 years should be performed once a year and should include the following tests:
- Blood pressure measurement to check for possible circulatory and cardiac problems;
- Urine test to identify possible infections;
- Blood test to check cholesterol, triglycerides, urea, creatinine and uric acid, HIV screening, hepatitis B and C,
- Check the mouth to check the need for dental treatments or the use of dental prostheses;
- Eye exam to check the need to wear glasses or change your graduation;
- Auditory examination to check for any significant hearing loss or not;
- Examination of the skin to see if there is any pimple or spot on the suspected skin, which could be related to skin diseases or even to skin cancer;
- Testicular examination and examination of the prostate gland to verify the function of this gland and its possible relation with prostate cancer.
According to the individual's medical history, the doctor may order other exams or exclude some from this list.
It is important to perform these tests to identify diseases early because it is known that the earlier any disease is treated, the greater the chances of cure. To perform these tests the individual should make an appointment with a general practitioner and if he finds any change in one of these tests may indicate an appointment with a medical specialist.
