This is because, according to the creator of this diet, foods that stimulate weight loss in people vary according to their blood type.
This diet was created by naturopathic Dr. Peter D'Adamo and became famous after the release of the book Eat Right 4 Your Type, in which the doctor explains what to eat and what to avoid according to each blood type. Does the blood type diet work?
In spite of the great success of this diet, in 2014 researchers from the University of Toronto, Canada, published a study showing that the nutritional needs of people do not vary according to their blood type, and it is not necessary to restrict the consumption of some foods just because they have blood A or O, for example.
The recommendation is that everyone should eat a healthy and varied diet, which can include all types of natural and healthy food, both for weight loss and to maintain health and prevent disease.
