Serevent is an antiasthmatic bronchodilator, which can be found with a dose of 25 or 50 mcg of salmeterol, its active ingredient.
This medicine given by inhalation should not be used in case of acute asthma.
Indications
Asthma, bronchitis, emphysema.
Contraindications
Pregnancy risk C; breast-feeding; allergy to some component of the formula.
Adverse effects
Headache, palpitations, inflammation in the nose and throat; respiratory infection.
How to use
Adults and adolescents from 12 years of age
- Bronchospasm associated with asthma: 50 mg twice daily.
- Exercise-induced bronchospasm: 50 mcg, 30 to 60 minutes before exercise.
Children under 12 years of age: doses not established.
