How to use Ketoprofen (Profenid)
- Tablets: 150-200 mg per day divided into 3 to 4 times, 30 minutes before or 2 hours post meal
- Injection: from 50 to 100mg IM, every 4 hours. Do not use more than 200 mg per day
- Drops: 50 mg dissolved in a little water every 6 or 8 hours. Children 7 to 11 years: 25 mg every 6 or 8 hours and children from 1 to 6 years: 1 mg per kg body weight every 6 or 8 hours
- Cream or gel: apply under the inflamed site with gentle massage for 2 or 3 times a day
- Suppository: 200 mg per day. (100 mg in the morning and 100 mg in the evening, before bedtime)
