To clean a girl at the time of changing the diaper should use a piece of cotton wet in warm water and clean the intimate region in the following order:
- Wipe the larger lips from front to back, in a single movement, as the picture shows;
- Wipe the smaller lips from front to back with a new piece of cotton;
- Never clean the inside of the vagina;
Dry the intimate area with a soft cloth diaper.

The cleaning of the intimate region of the girl should be done smoothly so as not to hurt the baby and to avoid the rash, being important to put a cream against rashes in the region of the folds.
