Arcoxia is a medicine indicated for pain relief, pain caused by postoperative of orthopedic, dental or gynecological surgery. It is also indicated for the treatment of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis or ankylosing spondylitis.
This medicine has in its composition Etoricoxib, a compound with anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic action.

How to take
The recommended doses of Arcoxia vary according to the problem to be treated, with the following doses generally being indicated:
- Relief of acute pain, pain after dental or gynecological surgery: 1 tablet of 90 mg, taken once a day.
- Treatment of osteoarthritis and chronic pain relief: 1 60 mg tablet taken once daily;
- Treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis: 1 tablet of 90 mg, taken once daily.
Arcoxia tablets should be swallowed whole with a glass of water, not broken or chewed, and may be taken with or without food.
Side effects
Some of the side effects of Arcoxia may include diarrhea, weakness, swelling in the legs or feet, dizziness, gas, cold, nausea, maldigestion, headache, extreme tiredness, heartburn, palpitations, changes in blood tests, pain or discomfort in the stomach, increased blood pressure or bruising.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated for patients with a history of disease or heart problems, heart attack, revascularization surgery, angina pectoris, narrowing or blockage of the arteries of the extremities of the body or effusion, and for patients with allergy to Etoricoxib or to any other component of the formula.
Also, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you have liver, kidney or heart disease or if you have any other health problems, you should talk to your doctor before starting treatment.
