The appearance of cracks in the feet is a very troublesome problem, but it can affect anyone and at any age. However, it can be resolved quickly with the use of frequent moisturizing cream or the use of some simple home-made solutions to prepare.
There are two main types of home remedies, exfoliators, which help to remove dead skin cells and that should be used 2 to 3 times a week, especially when there are already cracks, and moisturizers, which can be used every day to keep skin smooth and free of cracks.
1. Exfoliating cornmeal mixture
This mixture is ideal for those who have a very dry foot and already with some signs of cracking, as it allows to hydrate the skin well, while the corn removes the dead cells, reducing the thick skin.
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons cornmeal;
- 4 tablespoons sweet almond oil.
Method of preparation
Mix the ingredients and then rub in the feet in circular motions, pressing more on the heels. After the exfoliation, you must moisturize your feet very well with a specific cream for the feet and let it dry naturally to avoid stench.
2. Moisturizing mixture of pineapple
Pineapple is a fruit that contains lots of water, vitamins and antioxidants important for nourishing the skin. Thus, it can be used as a home remedy to hydrate the skin after exfoliation, for example.
Ingredients
- 2 slices of pineapple peel.
Method of preparation
Cut the pineapple by stripping all its shell into large strips and set aside.
After bathing, or after making a scaly feet, place a strip of the peel of the pineapple around the heel and then put a half so tight so that the bark of the pineapple does not move and let it act all night. In the morning, wash your feet with warm water and repeat the procedure for 4 days in a row.
3. Homemade moisturizer with corn oil
A great home remedy for cracked feet is to pass a homemade moisturizing oil prepared from corn and garlic oil. This blend, in addition to deeply moisturizing the skin due to the oil, also eliminates bacteria that may be drying the skin even more, due to the properties of the garlic.
Ingredients
- 6 cloves garlic, sliced;
- Half a glass of corn oil.
Method of preparation
Bring the ingredients to the fire in a water bath for about 10 minutes, mixing with a wooden spoon. Then allow to mix and rub the mixture on the cracked feet 2 times a day. This solution can be used as a substitute for conventional moisturizers.
