Alizapride is a medicine to stop nausea and vomiting during the treatment of cancer, and can be done orally or through an injection.
This medicine, commercially known as Superan acts in the stomach and intestine in the duodenum, emptying them early, which relieves the symptoms. The drug is produced by the Sanofis Aventis laboratory and should only be used after medical advice.

Indications
The use of Superan is indicated for the treatment of nausea and vomiting, during the treatment of cancer.
Mode of Use
The use of Superan is done orally, and for adults is indicated 50 to 200 mg per day, divided into 3 or 4 outlets and for children 5 mg per kg of body weight per day, divided into 3 or 4 outlets.
In the case of injectable use, it should be applied to the muscle or vein by a nurse or doctor, and for adults it is recommended 100 to 200 mg per day and for children to start with 25 mg, continuing with the pediatric drops as soon as possible.
Side effects
Some side effects of Superan include stopping menstruation, breast enlargement, diarrhea, headache, drowsiness, dizziness, facial spasm, involuntary movement or torticollis and drop in blood pressure.
Contraindications
The use of Superan is contraindicated in pregnancy, pheochromocytoma and in patients who have presented difficulties of movement with the use of neuroleptic.
