Nymalize is a medicine used to improve neurological problems.
Nimodipine is the main component of the Nymalize drug from the Arbor pharmaceutical laboratory, which can be found in the form of oral solution.
Nymalize Indication
For the improvement of neurological outcome by reducing the incidence and severity of ischemic deficits in adult patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) rupture berry intracranial aneurysms, regardless of their neurological condition post Hunt and Hess types IV.
Nymise Adverse Reactions
The most common were hypotension, headache, nausea and bradycardia.
Contraindication of Nymalize
It may increase the risk of hypotension significantly. Patients with cirrhosis present a higher risk of adverse reactions. Nymalize should not be given along with Antihypertensive, Moderate and Weak CYP3A4 Inducers.
How to use Nymalize
Enteral route (for example, oral, nasogastric tube, or via gastric tube).
- Oral administration: Recommended dose: 20 ml (60 mg) every 4 hours for 21 consecutive days.
- Administration by nasogastric or gastric tube: Using the syringe, administer 20 ml (60 mg) every 4 hours in a nasogastric or gastric tube for 21 consecutive days. For each dose, fill the syringe with 20 ml of 0.9% saline solution and then wash any remaining gastric or nasogastric tube contents in the stomach.
- Dose adjustments in patients with cirrhosis: In patients with cirrhosis, reduce the dose of 10 mL (30 mg) every 4 hours.
- Administer one hour before meals or two hours after a meal for all routes of administration.
Do not take it intravenously or by other routes.
