Moclobemide is an oral drug known commercially as Aurorix.
This medication is an antidepressant, which acts to increase the concentration of serotonin and dopamine in the central nervous system, which are neurotransmitters responsible for the feelings of pleasure and well-being, thus resulting in a decrease in the symptoms of depression.

Agitation; anxiety; dry mouth; itching; vision disturbances; sleep disturbances; Headache; allergies to the skin; gastrointestinal disorders; urticaria; vertigo.
Contraindications of Moclobemide
Pregnant or lactating women.
Mode of use of Moclobemide
Oral use
Adults
- Initiate treatment for depression with the administration of 300 mg per day of Moclobemide, divided into 2 or 3 doses. According to clinical response after 1 week of treatment, doses may be increased up to 600 mg per day.
The medicine should be taken after meals.
