This oral drug is indicated for the treatment of AIDS, its action is to incorporate in the DNA of the virus and prevent its multiplication, which would leave the immune system very weak and accessible to even more viruses and bacteria.

How to Use Stavudine
Oral use
Adults
- With 60 kg of weight or more: Administer 40 mg of Stavudine every 12 hours.
- With less than 60 kg of weight: Administer 30 mg of Stavudine every 12 hours.
Children
- With 30 kg or more : Administer 30 mg of Stavudine every 12 hours.
- Under 30 kg in weight : Administer 1 mg of Stavudine per kg of body weight every 12 hours.
