Zavedos is an antineoplastic medicine that has active substance Idarrubicin.
This injectable drug is indicated for the treatment of individuals with cancer, especially leukemia. Its mechanism of action on cancer is not well known, but it is known to also act as an antibiotic decreasing the severity of symptoms.
Indications of Zavedos
Acute myelocilitic leukemia.
Side effects of Zavedos
Headache; mental confusion; fever; bleeding; nausea; vomiting; cramps; diarrhea; mucosal inflammation; loss of hair; eruption; urticaria; blisters on hands and feet.
Contraindications of Zavedos
Pregnancy risk D; women in the lactation phase; myelosuppression of the bone marrow; Hipersensibility to any of the formula's components; children.
How to use Zavedos
Injectable use
Adults
- Apply 12 mg per square meter body surface daily, applied slowly (10 to 15 minutes) for 3 days. If necessary the dose can be applied a second time.
