A great remedy for sinusitis, a condition also known as infection of the sinus or nasal cavities, is the syrup prepared with eucalyptus leaves and black beer because it has properties that help to deflate and decongest the nose.
The sinusitis generates symptoms like headache, feeling of weight on the face and sometimes there can be bad smell in the nose and bad breath. The doctor may indicate sinusitis treatment, which may involve cleaning the nose with saline solutions, but in some cases even antibiotic medicines may be indicated. In this case, the syrup indicated here serves only as a complement to the clinical treatment.
Ingredients
- 700 ml of black beer
- 500 g of sugar
- 7 leaves of eucalyptus
Method of preparation
Put the ingredients in a pan and simmer for 15 minutes on low heat. Let it rest until it coarsen. Take a spoonful of this syrup 4 times a day during sinus seizures.
You should go back to the doctor when the symptoms do not improve in about 3 days, even if you have already started taking the prescribed antibiotic because you may need to change the treatment. This home remedy is not suitable for infants and children under 12 years of age.
