Dopamine hydrochloride is the main compound of the drug commercially sold under the name of Revivan, approved by the FDA, indicated to treat hemodynamic imbalances.
Indications
Hemodynamic imbalances resulting from shock, trauma, hemorrhage, septicemia, drug intoxication, cardiac surgery postoperative, renal failure, hydrosaline retention varied, preoperative preparation of high risk patients.
Contraindications
People with pheochromocytoma and allergy to sulfites.
Adverse effects
Arrhythmia, tachycardia, bradycardia, palpitations, chest pain, shortness of breath, hypertension, hypotension, headache, nausea, vomiting, vasoconstriction, vascular stasis, intumescence, tingling or pain in the hands or feet.
How to use
According to medical recommendations; Adults and children: from 1 to 5 μg / kg / min in continuous infusion, up to 50 μg / kg / min. Infants: 1 to 20μg / kg / min in continuous infusion. The dose can be changed as needed.
