This injectable drug is indicated for the treatment of bladder cancer, leukemia, and Hodgkin's lymphoma. Its action acts on the DNA of the cancer cells and alters its reproduction process.
Vumon Indications (For what it is)
Cancer in the bladder; leukemia; Hodgkin's lymphoma; Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma; neuroblastoma.
Side Effects of Vumon
Inflammation of the veins; diarrhea; mucosal inflammation; nausea; vomiting; decreased leukocytes in the blood; severe blood problem; anemia: infection.
Contraindications of Vumon
Pregnancy risk D; women in the lactation phase; Hipersensibility to any of the formula's components.
How to use Vumon (Dosage)
Injectable Use
Adults
- Leukemia; Hodgkin's lymphoma; Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma : Administer 50 to 100 mg per square meter of body surface, intravenously, 1 or 2 times per week. This procedure should be performed from 4 to 6 months. Another option is to administer 40 to 50 mg per square meter body surface daily for 5 days. Repeat dose every 3 to 4 weeks.
- Neuroblastoma: administer 130 to 180 mg per square meter of body surface daily. The treatment should last for 1 week.
