By 8 months, the baby should increase the amount of meals made with complementary foods, eating fruit potatoes in the morning and afternoon snacks, and salty potatoes at lunch and dinner.
At this age, the baby is able to sit alone and pass objects from one hand to the other, being more active in the meal participation. Here are 4 recipes that can be used at this stage of life.
Papaya and Oatmeal Papaya
This little baby helps improve the baby's bowel movement and fight constipation.
Ingredients:
- 1 slice of papaya or 2 papaya or 1 nanana banana
- 50 ml orange juice with bagasse
- 1 tablespoon of oat flakes
Method of preparation:
Remove the seeds from the papaya, squeeze the orange juice without strain and add the oats, mixing everything before giving to the baby.
Cooked pear juice
Put 1 or 2 very ripe pears to cook on low heat in a pan with little water, until they soften. Remove from the heat, wait for them to warm and shave the pears to serve the baby.
Rice and Chicken Papaya
This baby food should be offered to the baby at lunch or dinner, and without adding salt as a seasoning.
Ingredients:
- 3 tablespoons cooked rice or 2 raw rice
- ½ cup of bean broth
- 2 tablespoons shredded and chopped chicken
- ½ chuchu
- ½ tomato
- 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
Method of preparation:
Cook the chicken, the rice and the chuchu seasoning with oil, onion, garlic and parsley, and letting it cook until the food is very soft. Chop the chicken well and knead the rice, the chuchu and the tomato, without mixing the foods in the baby's dish. Add the broth and serve.
Pea Pea and Ground Meat
This baby should preferably be used at lunch, and it is important to observe how it focuses the intestinal transit of the baby with the consumption of peas.
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon of peas
- 2 tablespoons cooked pasta without salt
- 2 tablespoons ground beef
- ½ cooked carrots
- 1 teaspoon vegetable oil.
Method of preparation:
Cook the peas and knead them well the fork, then passing through the sieve if necessary. Cook the meat grinds using garlic, onion, oil and thyme as seasonings. Cook the pasta and the carrot and knead it, putting the ingredients ready in the baby dish separately, so that it learns the flavor of each one.
