Fedegoso is a medicinal plant, also known as black coffee or pajé leaf, used mainly for the treatment of anemia.
Its scientific name is Cassia occidentalis L. and can be purchased at some natural products stores or manipulation pharmacies.

Fedegoso is used to treat jaundice, anemia, bronchitis, menstrual complications, headache, gastrointestinal pain, fever, liver disease, neuralgia, burns, measles, scabies, and amenorrhea.

The properties of fedegoso include its diuretic, laxative, antibacterial, analgesic, antirheumatic, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory action.
How to use fedegoso
For therapeutic purposes the bark, leaves, seeds and roots of fedegoso are used.
- Tea for fever: Add 10 g of Fedegoso powder in 500 ml of boiling water, strain and drink.
Side effects of fedegoso
Side effects of fedegoso include miscarriages and renal intoxication when consumed in excess.
Contraindications of fedegoso
Fedegoso is contraindicated for children and pregnant or lactating women.
