This medicine for oral and injectable use is indicated for the treatment of bronchitis and for infections in the skin, since its action consists in inhibiting the synthesis of the DNA of the bacterium, which ends up being eliminated from the organism by alleviating the symptoms of the infection.

How to Use Moxifloxacin
Oral use
Adults
- Chronic bronchitis (acute bacterial exacerbation): 400 mg once daily for 5 days.
- Skin and soft tissue infection - uncomplicated : 400 mg once daily for 7 days;
- Complicated skin and soft tissue infection: 400 mg once daily for 7 to 21 days.
- Intra-abdominal infection: replacing the injectable treatment, 400 mg once daily, until completing 5 to 14 days of treatment (injectable + oral).
- Acquired pneumonia : 400 mg once daily for 7 to 14 days.
- Acute bacterial sinusitis: 400 mg once daily for 10 days.
Injectable Use
Adults
- Chronic bronchitis (acute bacterial exacerbation): 400 mg once daily for 5 days.
- Skin and soft tissue infection - uncomplicated: 400 mg once daily for 7 days;
- Complicated: 400 mg once daily for 7 to 21 days.
- Intra-abdominal infection: 400 mg once daily for 5 to 14 days. Where possible, intravenous treatment may be substituted for oral.
- Acquired pneumonia: 400 mg once daily for 7 to 14 days.
- Acute bacterial sinusitis: 400 mg once daily for 10 days.
