Acetylsalicylic acid, popularly called aspirin, is a very common analgesic, anti-inflammatory, but it should only be taken with a medical indication because it has many counts.
Know the dangers of self-medication and never take aspirin in the following situations:
- if you are allergic to acetylsalicylic acid, salicylates or any of the ingredients in the medicine (consult your doctor to be sure);
- if you are prone to bleeding;
- if you have ulcers in the stomach or intestine;
- if you have already had an asthma attack induced by the administration of salicylates or other similar substances;
- if you are taking methotrexate (Miantrex, Biometrox, Reutrexate) in doses of 15 mg or greater per week;
- if you are in the last trimester of pregnancy.
