Carvedilol is a medicine known commercially as Coreg.
This oral medication is an antihypertensive, its action promotes the dilation of the blood vessels, facilitating the circulation and reducing the resistance in the vessels.
Carvedolol is also used in the treatment of individuals who have already suffered heart attacks and history of heart failure.

High pressure; cardiac insufficiency; infarction.

Contraindications of Carvedilol

How to use Carvedilol
Oral use
Adults
- High blood pressure: Begin treatment with 6.25 mg Carvedilol twice daily. The dose should be maintained for a period of 2 weeks and the amount can be adjusted according to the patient's response.
- Heart failure : Initiate treatment with Carvedilol 3, 125 mg twice daily for a period of 2 weeks. According to the patient's response the dose may be increased to 6.25 mg twice daily.
