Daflon is indicated for the treatment of varicose veins and varicose veins, problems of venous insufficiency such as edema or sensation of weight in the legs, sequelae of thrombophlebitis, hemorrhoids, pelvic pain and abnormal bleeding outside of menstruation.

How to use Daflon

The way Daflon is used can be:

Treatment of varicose veins and other diseases related to veins: 2 tablets daily, one in the morning and the other at night, preferably during meals and for at least 6 months or according to doctor's prescription.
Hemorrhoid crisis: 6 tablets a day for the first 4 days and then 4 tablets a day for 3 days. After this first treatment, 2 tablets a day, at least 3 months or according to the medical prescription must be taken.
Chronic pelvic pain: 2 tablets daily, for at least 4 to 6 months or according to medical prescription.

Daflon can also be used before surgery for varicose veins, also called safenectomy, and its use consists of the use of 2 tablets a day, for 4 or 6 weeks, according to doctor's prescription. After the operation of varicose veins, 2 tablets a day should be taken for at least 4 weeks, or as directed by your doctor.

Side effects of Daflon

The side effects of Daflon can be diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, malaise, rash, itching, hives, dizziness and swelling of the face, lips or eyelids.

Contraindications of Daflon

Daflon is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any component of the formula and the use of this drug should be avoided in pregnant and lactating women. Children and adolescents under 18 years of age should not take Daflon.
