An excellent home remedy for ovarian cyst is quixaba tea, as this medicinal plant has anti-inflammatory and healing properties that help to suppress the cyst in the ovary, which is a fluid-filled sac that forms in or around the ovary, relieving symptoms such as pain in the pelvic region.
Treatment for ovarian cyst usually is not necessary because the cysts tend to disappear after 8 to 12 weeks. However, the gynecologist may prescribe contraceptive pills for 4 to 6 weeks to decrease the appearance of new cysts in the ovary, and in some cases surgery for cysts may be needed.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon of quixaba peel
- 500 ml of water
Method of preparation
Put the quixaba peel in the water and put to a boil. After boiling, allow to soften, strain and drink up to 2 cups of tea per day.
This home remedy for ovarian cyst is contraindicated for insulin-dependent diabetic women, since quixaba causes a decrease in blood sugar levels.
