Enoxaparin is a medicine known commercially as Clexane.
This medicine is an anti-coagulant, widely used in the case of myocardial infarction.
Enoxaparin prevents blood clotting in blood vessels, increasing the safety of patients who have had surgeries and having to change heart valves.
Indications of Enoxaparin
Thrombosis (venous, pulmonary and cerebral); myocardial infarction; clogging of cerebral vessels; cardiac arrhythmia.
Side Effects of Enoxaparin
Blood changes; mental confusion; pain; fever; bleeding; swelling; irritation; blood spots at the injection site; allergic manifestations; nausea.
Contraindications of Enoxaparin
Pregnancy risk B; women in the lactation phase; individuals who have had a stroke recently; children.
How to use Enoxaparin
Injectable Use
Adults
- At moderate risk of blood clotting : Administer 20 mg of Enoxaparin daily in a single dose for 10 days.
- At high risk of blood clotting : Administer 40 mg of Enoxaparin in a single dose for 10 days.
