Serophene is indicated for treating the lack or failure of ovulation in women who wish to become pregnant, in cases of ovarian dysfunction, polycystic ovary syndrome and some types of amenorrhea.
This remedy has in its composition Clomiphene Citrate, a non-steroidal compound indicated to cause ovulation in women without ovulation.

How to take
Treatment with Serophene should be done through 5 day treatment cycles, being necessary to pass to the 2nd or 3rd cycle only when the first one did not provoke the desired effect. Thus, this remedy should be taken as follows:
- First Cycle : take 50 mg, equivalent to 1 tablet per day, for 5 consecutive days;
- Second Cycle : take 100 mg, equivalent to 2 tablets per day, for 5 consecutive days. This cycle should be started 30 days after the first cycle and only if no menstruation with ovulation occurred during the 30 days.
- Third Cycle : take 100 mg, equivalent to 2 tablets per day, for 5 days in a row.
The second and third cycles should be started 30 days after the previous cycle and only in the absence of menstruation with ovulation during the 30 days of rest.
Side effects
Some of the side effects of Serophene may include depression, minor blood loss, ovarian enlargement, nausea, headache, hives, dizziness, fatigue, insomnia, hair loss, heat waves, blurred vision and vomiting, breasts, abdominal discomfort or increased urinary frequency.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated for patients with liver problems or diseases, abnormal uterine bleeding and for patients with Clomiphene allergy or any of the components of the formula.
