Pravastatin is a medicine known commercially as Pravacol.
This oral medication is indicated to reduce the concentration of cholesterol in the blood. The action of Pravastatin lowers bad cholesterol (LDL) levels and increases good cholesterol (HDL) in the blood.
If taken correctly, the medication decreases the risks of heart problems and improves blood circulation.

How to use Pravastatin
Oral use
Adults
- Administer 10 to 40 mg Pravastatin daily, single dose or divided doses. The dose may be adjusted according to the patient's response to the drug.
