Endofolin is a supplement of folic acid and vitamin B9 for the treatment of anemia. It is an oral medication that acts in the body stimulating the production of red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets and can be found in the form of drops, liquid or tablet.
This medicine can only be used on a doctor's recommendation and can be found in pharmacies under the names Enfol, Folacin, Folital and Folicil, for example.
Indications
This medication is indicated for the treatment of megaloblastic anemia, macrocytic anemia caused by alcoholism, liver disease, hemorrhagic or gestational anemia.

How to use
The use of this medicinal product is oral, and for adults with folic acid deficiency is indicated 0.25 to 1 mg per day and for the treatment of megaloblastic anemia between 0.2 and 0.5 mg per day.
In the case of children it is recommended to use drops or oral solution, with premature infants between 0.25 and 0.50 mL per day; from 2 to 4 years from 0.5 to 1 ml per day and above 4 years: 1 to 2 ml per day.

Contraindications
The use of this medicine is contraindicated in pregnancy, normocytic anemia and pernicious anemia.
