Bravelle is a remedy used to treat female infertility. This remedy is indicated for the treatment of cases where there is no ovulation, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and is used in Assisted Reproduction techniques.
This medicine has in its composition the hormone FSH, a hormone naturally produced by the body that is responsible for stimulating the development of follicles in the ovaries and the production of sex hormones.

How to take
The dose to be taken from Bravelle should be indicated by the doctor accompanying the treatment. It is usually indicated to start treatment within the first 7 days of the menstrual cycle with a dose of 75 mg per day. Generally, the treatment should last for a minimum of 7 days.
To give the Bravelle injection, you should follow the indications described below:
- Begin by opening the ampoule of the diluent and with the aid of a sterile syringe should aspirate all the contents;
- Then transfer the contents of the syringe into the powder bottle provided in the Bravelle package. Stir the vial slightly and the powder is expected to dissolve within 2 minutes.
- To give the injection, you should pull a piece of skin until it forms a pouch between your fingers, and then insert the needle in a rapid movement at a 90-degree angle. After inserting the needle, you must press the plunger to inject the solution.
- Finally, remove the syringe and press the injection site with a cotton swab soaked in alcohol to stop the bleeding.
Side effects
Some of the side effects of Bravelle may include headache, abdominal pain, urinary tract infection, inflammation of the throat and nose, redness, nausea, vomiting, abdominal distension and discomfort, diarrhea, constipation, muscle contractions, vaginal bleeding, pelvic pain, vaginal discharge or pain, redness or swelling at the injection site.
Contraindications
Bravelle is contraindicated for pregnant or nursing women, patients with tumors in the uterus, ovaries, breasts, pituitary gland or hypothalamus, blockage of the uterine tubes or other physical defects of the uterus or other sexual organs, vaginal bleeding of unknown cause, thyroid problems or of the adrenal glands, primary ovarian failure, premature menopause, elevated prolactin levels, patients with ovarian cysts or increased ovarian size due to polycystic ovarian disease and to patients with allergy to Urofolitropin or any of the components of the formula.
