Fludarabine is an injectable and oral medicine known commercially as Fludara.
This medicine is an antineoplastic used to kill cancer cells and prevent the growth of tumors.
Indications of Fludarabine
Chronic lymphocytic leukemia; non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
Side effects of Fludarabine
Anemia; chest pain; swelling; body pain; pneumonia; allergic pneumonitis; decreased platelets; pulmonary hemorrhage; gastrointestinal bleeding.
Contraindications of Fludarabine
Pregnancy risk D; women in the lactation phase; individuals with renal impairment.
How to use Fludarabine
Oral use
Adults
- Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia: Administer 40 mg once daily for 5 consecutive days. Each 5-day treatment cycle should begin every 28 days.
Caution : The tablets should be administered until complete or partial remission of the cancer cells is obtained. This result can be observed around the 6th cycle of medication.
Injectable use

- Chronic lymphocytic leukemia or non-Hodgkin's lymphoma: Administer 25 mg once daily for 5 consecutive days. Each 5 day cycle should start every 28 days.
