- Prevention of recurrence of bipolar disorder: The recommended starting dose is 10 mg once daily and may then be adjusted to 5 to 20 mg as the course of symptoms progresses.
Side effects of olanzapine
The main side effects of olanzapine include drowsiness, weight gain, dizziness, weakness, motor restlessness, increased appetite, bloating, blood pressure lowering, abnormal gait, urinary incontinence, pneumonia or constipation.
Contraindications of olanzapine
Olanzapine is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.
