Novacort, whose active ingredients are ketoconazole, neomycin sulfate and betamethasone, is a topical drug with anti-inflammatory action from the Ache laboratory. It can be found in the form of cream or ointment
Indications
It is indicated for the treatment of skin diseases, where anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antimycotic actions are required, due to sensitive germs, such as contact dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis, intertrigo, dyshidrosis and neurodermatitis.
Contraindications
Do not use on eyes, or by individuals allergic to any of the components of the formula. Also it should not be used in infections like chickenpox, herpes simplex or zoster, cutaneous tuberculosis or syphilis.
Adverse effects
Burning, irritation, dryness of the skin, scaling, hypertrichosis, hypopigmentation, stretch marks, dermatitis may occur. Prolonged use may lead to secondary adrenal insufficiency.
Mode of Use
Apply to the affected area 1 or 2 times a day.
