Comfrey is a medicinal plant, also known as consolidates, Russian confrei, vegetable milk and cow's tongue, widely used in the treatment of dermatological diseases, accelerating healing.
Its scientific name is Symphytum officinalis L. and can be purchased at some natural health stores and handling pharmacies.
What is the purpose of the confrei?
The comfrey serves to treat inflammations, rheumatisms, mycoses, dermatitis, pimples, psoriasis and tuberculosis.

Mode of use of the confrei
For therapeutic purposes the leaves and roots of the comfrey are used.
- Comfrey Compresses: Boil 10 g of comfrey leaves in 500 ml of water. Then strain and place the mixture into a compress and apply over the affected region.
- Compress for acne: put 50 g of consolda in 500 ml of cold water, boil for 10 minutes and strain. Wet a thin cloth in this tea and apply in the region you want to be treated.

The side effect of the comfrey includes gastric irritations.
