Benzonidazole is a medicine known commercially as Rochagan.
This drug is an antiparasitic given orally, specifically used against Trypanosoma cruzi, the protozoan that causes Chagas' disease.

Blood changes; abdominal pain; Headache; allergies to the skin; fatigue; insufficiency of the liver and kidneys.
Contraindications of Benzonidazole
Pregnant or lactating women.
How to use Benzonidazole
Oral use
Adults and Children over 12 years
- Administer 5 to 7 mg per kg of body weight per day, divided into 2 doses, one after breakfast and the other after dinner (12-hour interval between doses).
Children under 12 years old
- They may receive doses of up to 10 mg per kg body weight per day for the first 10 to 20 days of treatment, then decrease the dose to 5 to 7 mg per kg of body weight per day.
Treatment with Bezonidazole should be maintained for 30 to 60 consecutive days.
