The best pot for health is one that does not release heavy metals like aluminum or nickel in foods because these over time facilitate the development of diseases such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Cancer and even hyperactivity and attention deficit in children.
Good choices of pots to have at home and not those of stainless steel, titanium, tempered glass, in addition to the iron pot and the ceramic. Learn the advantages and disadvantages of the 10 types of most used cookware:
1. Stainless steel pan
- Advantage: Heats up fast, decreasing the cooking time of food. It does not release any substance in the food, as long as it has no nickel in its composition.
- Disadvantage: Food can stick together when cooking with less oil, which leaves the pan looking and burnt. For this type of pan to last longer you should wash with the soft part of the dish sponge and use pump to ariar, so that it does not get scratched.
2. Aluminum pan
- Advantage: Economical and easy to find.

- Disadvantage: It is porous and leftover foods can stick together in their small pores, promoting the proliferation of germs, so you should wash this pan very well after each use, with baking soda being a good option to keep the pan properly clean.
9. Glazed ceramic pot
- Advantage: It is easy to clean because it is non-sticky, it keeps the heat well and does not release substances harmful to health in food.
- Disadvantage: Some brands use lead or cardiol in the paint of these pans, which can be detrimental to health, so it should be noted on the label if these substances are present, because if they are they can contaminate the food. But since the pot of ceramics does not have such chemicals in its paint, it does not bring any harm to health.
10. Titanium cookware
- Advantage: It does not release any toxic substance in food, is non-stick, easy to clean and maintains the heat of food well.
- Disadvantage: They are more expensive than the others.
