Profenil

Profenil is a nutritional supplement rich in calories and protein, suitable for children and adults with a reduced intake of phenylalanine.

This supplement contains amino acids, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals.

There are 3 different types of supplement, depending on age:

• Profenil 1, for ages 0 to 1 year;
• Profenil 2, for children between 1 and 8 years;
• Profenil 3, for adults and children over 8 years.

Profenil is distributed by Invita, in the form of powder that must be mixed with other foods.

Indications of Profenil

Profenil is indicated for patients with phenylketonuria or hyperphenylalaninemia.

How to use Profenil

Profenil should be mixed with other foods, at the doses indicated by the nutritionist or pediatrician, according to age, weight and tolerance to phenylalanine.

Contraindications of Profenil

Profenil is contraindicated for individuals hypersensitivity to any component of the formula.
