In most cases, impingem is easily treated with antifungal creams prescribed by the dermatologist, helping not only to eliminate fungus but also to quickly relieve skin irritation by improving symptoms such as scaling and itching. See the main symptoms of this problem.
Some of the most used and effective creams are:
- Terbinafine;
- Amorolfine;
- Cyclopirox olamine;
- Naftifine.
These creams should always be used as directed by your doctor, but should usually be applied 1 to 2 times a day for up to 4 weeks.
Symptoms may disappear after 1 or 2 weeks, but treatment should be continued until the infection is re-emerged.
Impingement tablets
Although creams are the main form of treatment for impingem, when the affected area is very large or the person has a problem that affects the immune system, such as lupus or HIV, it may be necessary to use antifungal tablets to treat the infection.
In these cases the dermatologist can only recommend only the use of tablets, such as Fluconazole, Itraconazole and Ketoconazole, or associate them with creams, to treat more serious cases, for example.
Natural remedy for impingem
A good way to complete medical treatment and speed recovery is to use simple, natural home remedies. An excellent example is garlic water, which has potent antifungal properties that help to eliminate fungi faster.
Ingredients
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 liter of water
Method of preparation
Crush the garlic cloves and put them in a jug with the water. Then let stand for 6 hours and strain the mixture. Lastly, use the water to wash the affected area at least 2 times a day until symptoms disappear.
The use of this or any other natural remedy should not replace the remedies indicated by the doctor, being only a way to relieve the symptoms more quickly. See other home remedy options for impingem.
