Glucobay is an oral antidiabetic medication that works by decreasing glucose, insulin and triglyceride peaks after a meal. This medicine can also be found in pharmacies under the name Aglucose.

Contraindications
Pregnancy risk B; breast-feeding; diabetic ketoacidosis; cirrhosis of the liver; chronic intestinal diseases; inflammatory or ulcerative bowel disease; bowel obstruction.
Mode of Use
Oral use
Adults
- Start at 25 mg, 3 times per day, gradually increasing the dose up to a maximum of 100 mg, 3 times per day.
- Patients with body weight equal to or less than 60 kg should not exceed the 50 mg dose 3 times per day.
